As we all know, the game suffers from some stuttering and framepacing issues. Rockstar has already fixed their issues in their open world game which does way more than this game does. I dont know whether this is consistent yet, I still have a lot more tests to do, but I do find this rather fascinating. Exploring the open world, which should look beautiful, becomes unenjoyable due to how poorly the game performs. When I tried switching everything back to 60hz, Hollow Knight had the framerate issues in OBS again, and then when I switched everything to 59hz yet again, the framerate issues in OBS were gone again. In case you don’t notice any performance improvements, just negate the above-mentioned command, to revert your settings back to D3D11. Right-click Hollow Knight select Properties and click Launch Options. Fights with creatures turn into a hit or miss where the game will stutter which causes you to die due to not being able to perform any actions. Open your Steam Library, and locate Hollow Knight. Some points in the game would event crash the game entirely. It was happening on medium, high, and ultra settings. Stuttering/ frame drops (steady 80+ FPS drop to 1 FPS for a few seconds sometimes longer before it goes back up.

Also if you love the game, there are mods you can download to make it harder, explore cut content, extra challenges, and etc.
I would say PC version would be the best if you have a discrete GPU.

All of my settings are now on the lowest that they can be, which is medium, and yet this problem still is a huge issue making the game unplayable. Running I7-7820HK/ GTX1080/ 16GB RAM Windows 10 圆4. Although the game is simple looking, if all you have is integrated GPU on PC, you won't run the game well on it either. This problem seems to stem from the open world aspect of optimization as many of the sections where the game is loading the open world scene will cause major stuttering issues. My setup is a and I've gone through all the settings without any fixes to this issue. The biggest issue has to do with the performance and stuttering in game due to poor optimization work done by the dev team. I just got the game today and already the game has loads of issues.
